Whose voice do you listen to? God’s or The World‘s?
Many a time, we as Children of God get carried away with the things of the world and it ought not to be so. We’re children of God and that means that though we’re in the world, we’re not part of the world. Our place is in Heaven, at the right hand side of God.
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.
1 John 4:4-6 NLT
As children of God, we shouldn’t let the noise of the world stop or hinder us from hearing the voice of God. Sure, we’re in the world and you see everything that goes on around you but this is not your place. You shouldn’t follow worldly trends. This world is filled with a lot of evil and lies and if as a child of God you’re not careful, you can easily be caught off guard or misled.
There is a Spirit that resides in you that’s greater than the one in the world. You know who you are in Christ so don’t be misled. Draw from within and put upon. Follow the leadings of the Spirit.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
John 10:27 NLT
Know the voice of your Father! The only one who has you at heart and cares for you. With God, you can never be stranded. With God, you can never be misled.
Don’t try to prove anything to anybody. Follow God! Listen to His voice and He’ll definitely guide you.
So now I ask,…
When you’re caught up in the things of this world; when you find yourself so overwhelmed, whose voice will you listen to?
Whose voice will you let guide you through the deepest waters and the darkest days?
Whose voice will you trust?
Trust Yahweh!
Follow Him closely and he’ll help you.
Listen to God!
He cares for you and he loves you unconditionally.
